Diatomite can be used as adhesive thickener to make adhesive thixotropic; Adsorbents, purifiers and filters for sugar making, beer, oil refining, coatings, glycerol, solvents, etc; Catalyst, chemical fertilizer and pesticide carrier; Ideal filler for plastics, synthetic resin, paint, paper, asphalt, etc; Sound insulation and heat insulation light filler for metallurgy and construction; Anti caking agent for fertilizer ammonium nitrate pellets. In water treatment, it can be used to treat printing and dyeing and papermaking wastewater. Its decolorization rate is as high as 90% ~ 99% and COD removal rate is 60% ~ 85%. The activated diatomite can also be used to make microporous filter ceramics, microporous glass and decontamination powder. Refined diatomite can be used as decolorizer, deodorant, animal and vegetable oil and acid remover of organic solvent.
